Ervaring

- onderzoek naar evolutionaire morfologie bij talrijke gewervelde dieren (vissen, amfibiën, reptielen, vogels, zoogdieren), met speciale aandacht naar spierskeletsysteem, voedselopname en voortbeweging. Meer recent ook actief in onderzoek naar bio-inspiratie uit de natuur (biomimetica) en toepassen van 'bio-inspired design thinking', via interdisciplinair onderzoek met specialisten uit ingenieurswetenschappen. Ook ervaring in onderzoek naar skeletale misvormingen bij commerciële vissoorten.
- onderwijservaring in anatomie en biodiversiteit van gewervelde dieren, anatomie en ontwikkeling van vissen, evolutionaire morfologie, evolutie van de mens, wetenschapscommunicatie, bio-inspired design thinking.
