Jonas Meuleman

Ik ben een jonge onderzoeker aan het Departement Public Governance van de Universiteit Gent, gefinancierd door het Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (FWO) Vlaanderen. Als voorstander van duurzame transformatie richten mijn onderzoeksinteresses zich op de politieke en sociale aspecten van duurzaamheidstransities. Voor mijn doctoraatsproject onderzoek ik de spanningen tussen snelheid en rechtvaardigheid in duurzaamheidstransities, en uiteindelijk ook het potentieel van democratische innovaties om deze met elkaar te verzoenen. 

I am an early-career researcher at Ghent University's Department of Public Governance, funded by Research Foundation Flanders - FWO. As an advocate of sustainable transformation, my research interests centre around the political and social aspects of governing the transition toward sustainability. For my PhD-project, I explore the tensions between urgency and justice in sustainability transitions, and the potential of democratic innovations to reconcile them. I am also involved in GreenDeal-NET and the RETOOL project.
